Dr. Dave Morehead is a Colorado native and moved to Broomfield and Laurel Veterinary Clinic in 1976.  He is an active outdoorsman whose interests include fly fishing and snow skiing. 

Dr. Morehead attended Colorado State University, earning a Bachelors in Chemistry before attending it's School of Veterinary Medicine.  He enjoys dentistry and internal medicine.


Dr. Morehead is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Colorado Veterinary Association, the International Veterinary Acadamy of Pain Management and a past board member of the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society.





Dr. Susan K. Infante is from Arkansas and enjoys a busy family that includes 3 miniature horses.

She studied Chemistry before earning her Doctorate at Oklahoma State University.  Dr. Infante completed her internship at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital and moved to Colorado to work at the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado.  She joined Laurel Veterinary Clinic in 2007 and appreciates dentistry, orthopedic (and general) surgery and emergency medicine.  

Dr. Infante is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.


 

 




Dr. Ken Bixel is a native Oregonian and enjoys cycling, skiing and running.  He and his wife have 2 young kids and are often suffering from sleep deprivation.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University.  He has a Masters Degree in Biology, has authored several scientific papers and is a
graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.  

Dr. Bixel is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society.  He likes all areas of veterinary care, especially critical care medicine and emergency surgery.

 

 

 

 

  

Dr. Leon Pommer graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University.  When not working, he can be found donning hip waders and fly fishing great locations around the world.  His wife is a realtor and his son flies jets in the Air Force.

While studying Chemistry and Biology at CSU, an interest in veterinary medicine first developed. Upon graduating from veterinary school Dr. Pommer began practicing in Boulder, Colorado.  After several years Dr. Pommer opened and grew Aspen Animal Hospital into a successful medical office which he subsequently merged with Laurel Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Pommer is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Socienty, and he has a keen interest in orthopedic surgery.

 

 

 

Dr. Jason Johnson attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University.  He is a skier, an avid runner and cyclist, and has competed in several ultra-distance races.  He lives with his family in Arvada.

In addition to his veterinary doctorate, Dr. Johnson holds a Master's Degree and has coauthored several scientific articles.  In his early professional career he worked with several specialists and has developed an advanced skill-set in the areas of dentistry and internal medicine.
